What are we all about?

Our meetings are confidential and your anonymity is assured. If you are married or newly separated or divorced and are not sure where to turn, we can provide you with a safe place to go for friendship and guidance.

Meetings
We meet twice monthly. The second and fourth Wednesday of each month are our scheduled meeting nights. On the first meeting of the month, we meet at the Atlanta/Fulton County Public Library, 980 Ponce de Leon Avenue. The second meeting of the month is located at All Saints Episcopal Church, 634 West Peachtree Street near the Varsity. Our meetings are usually open forum where anyone with something going on in their life can discuss it with the group. “Newbies” to the group are given an opportunity to discuss their situation given that they are ready for that. Several times a year we have guest speakers or a panel of speakers who’s experience or knowledge can help or guide those of us in the group.

Purpose
The Gay Fathers of Atlanta is an organization made of gay men with children. We are mostly divorced and separated men who were previously married. We are open to men who are fathers through adoption as well. We are a support organization to provide guidance in the areas of divorce, coming out, raising children, and many other issues. We are not here to judge anyone but simply to be a shoulder to lean on for those who need it.
